# Customize Storypane

Read the checkout's `AGENTS.md` and inspect callers before editing. Make the smallest
complete change to existing application code, including affected contracts, UI,
SDK types, tests and examples. An integration does not require a generic plugin
framework, extension registry, marketplace or embedded assistant.

Treat the user's prompt as a desired customization, not as evidence that the
integration already exists. Keep credentials server-side, authorize each request,
preserve filtered HTTP/live snapshots, and validate external input. Preserve
unrelated working-tree changes and third-party notices. Test the changed behavior
in the user's own copy before deploying; source modifications need maintenance
when taking upstream updates.
